Bring Your Own Hammer brings historians and composers together to create original songs inspired by historical sources and reinterpret the history of nineteenth-century Ireland and the Irish diaspora.

From the Tombs explores crime, law and order through folk ballads, pop songs, cinematic instrumentals, sean nós and spoken word. Bernard Butler, Luke Haines, Sean O’Hagan, Lavinia Blackwall, Adrian Crowley and many more take these stories from Ireland and Britain across the Atlantic and onward to Argentina, Australia and South Africa.
